Join us at one of St. Peter's 140th Anniversary services
If you would like to give thanks to God for ICS's ministry at St. Peter's Church, its part in your life or the life of a relative or friend, and to pray for its future mission and ministry, we would be delighted to welcome to one of the special 140th Anniversary services on:

Monday 14 June: 2 pm: Thanksgiving Service for St. Peter's Zermatt; followed by afternoon tea. Venue: Birmingham Cathedral, UK. The service follows ICS's AGM and annual meeting which begin at 11.30 am. Do join us for the whole event! or

Sunday 11 July: 10 am Thanksgiving Service. Venue: St. Peter's Church, Zermatt.

Please ensure that you call or e-mail Jeannette at ICS on ajskuse@ics-uk.org to indicate which service you plan to attend (remembering to include your name and address). Please also ask Jeannette for 140th anniversary leaflets to pass on to friends who have a special association with Zermatt, or let us know their address and we will send them an invitation at your suggestion. We will send you venue details and catering information nearer the time to confirm that we have received your request.

Click here for a copy of the 140th anniversary brochure which includes a brief history of this historic church and information about the 140th Anniversary appeal.

If you would like to give to the 140th anniversary appeal (which will be used to help fund the current and future ministry and maintain and improve the buildings - maintaining a chapel in the Swiss mountain climate is an expensive business and ICS's work is funded entirely by donations) you may use the form in the leaflet, call us, or make a donation online where you may also order a copy of A Church in the Alps. Your support will help us maintain this important historic building, and enable outreach to future generations of visitors and local English-speaking residents: donations should be made payable to 'Intercontinental Church Society'. Call us on 01926 - 430 347 (+44 1926 - 430 347 from abroad) if you would like any more information.

Supporting ICS’s outreach in Zermatt
If you would like to support our work at the famous ‘English Church’, you can become a Friend of St Peter’s (Zermatt) online. Your support will help us maintain this important historic building, and enable the outreach. We will send you information about ICS’s work regularly, and news of the work in Zermatt.

Alpine Club of Great Britain: 150th anniversary service in St. Peter’s, Zermatt
ICS was delighted to organise this special service for the Club on Sunday 24 June 2007, many of whose past members have worshipped at the Church whilst in Zermatt. Some too are buried there, as several gravestones and plaques mark. The church too has an historic link with the climbing fraternity – one of Edward’s Whymper’s climbing party (Charles Hudson) who died on the descent after the successful British ascent is buried under the communion table.
