Recent UK tax changes and your will
The British Chancellor’s recent changes to UK inheritance tax have prompted many to review their wills, as your will can be a way to save tax on death. Gifts to UK charities or recognised churches are usually free from UK inheritance tax and ICS ha benefited greatly from bequests of supporters. If you are reviewing your will and would like to include in it a gift to ICS – or have put off making a will but intend to make one – full information about gifts to ICS can be found at http://www.ics-uk.org/support/yourwill.shtml Please pass the information on that page to your solicitor. For a copy of our Wills information pack, which includes a questionnaire to help you gather the information your solicitor will need to draft or update your will, e-mail us with your name and address at communications@ics-uk.org . Your will is an opportunity not only to provide for your loved ones and ensure that your affairs are in order, but also to help us spread the good news to future generations.
