And when doing so why not become a Friend of ICS, and receive our inspiring and informative ICS News and Prayer Diary each quarter? ICS News is designed not only to help you pray for our work, but also to encourage you with news of how international Anglican churches and our tourist outreach are being used by God to touch the lives of many from all over the world. There are too stories and testimonies as well ideas that you can try in your church to help people connect with Jesus Christ.

To receive ICS News and partner us in our work, just tick the box entitled 'Tick here to receive our magazine and prayer diary quarterly by post if you do not already do so.' Alternatively download here and print the 2011 donation form and post it to us after completing it. If you would like partner us in our tourist outreach in Wengen and Zermatt you can donate on line to here too, as well as support specific projects e.g. the ministry in specific chaplaincies. How to donate

  • Online click here to make a donation online. As at June 2008 World Pay (who provide the secure on line transaction service) deducts from 4.5% from credit card payments and 50p from debit card payments plus VAT (sales tax), plus minor standing changes, before your gift or payment is passed on to ICS. Your bank may also levy further charges, so please bear in mind the amount ICS receives will be less than you are debited. UK taxpayers can give on line tax-efficiently using Gift Aid.
http://www.ics-uk.org/support/taxefficient.shtml explains how Gift Aid works.
  • Online via CAF using your Charities Aid Foundation Charity Card at http://www.cafonline.org/apps/Charities/CharityProfileLink.aspx?MainId=34315&SubId=135127&Source=CAF
  • Online via CAFAmerica if you are a US taxpayer - see below.
  • By post using a UK £ Sterling cheque or international money order payable to Intercontinental Church Society. For our address go to contact us. In the interests of fraud prevention, please do not make cheques etc payable to 'ICS'.
  • By phone using American Express, MasterCard or Visa. Call us on 01926 - 430 347 in the United Kingdom or +44 1926 - 430 347 from abroad. Office hours are 0930 - 1700 hrs UK time, Monday to Friday. Ask for Maggie or Andrew. You can at the same time order a copy of our Directory of English-speaking Churches Abroad or other publications or Christmas Cards on sale from time to time. Charges on credit card transactions by phone are usually lower than on-line.
  • Via your UK Self-assessment tax return at section Q19A by electing for any tax refund to be given direct to Intercontinental Church Society – our reference number for this purpose is LAA67QG.
  • By giving an asset such as land or shares or shares in a quoted company – see http://www.ics-uk.org/support/taxefficient.shtml for more information.

Donation policy donations are accepted only in accordance with the following policy: if a donor requires the ICS to apply a donation for specific objectives or projects (whether in response to a specific appeal or otherwise) and the amount(s) received exceed(s) the sum(s) necessary to fund these objectives or projects, or if it is not possible or appropriate for any reason to fulfil or proceed with the stated objectives or projects, ICS will use the excess or all of the donation(s) received for its general charitable objects. For legal and accounting reasons, ICS regrets that it cannot accept donations on any other basis.

Disclosure of your identity If you send in a donation and express the wish that we use it for a particular individual or chaplaincy, we do not routinely disclose your identity the chaplaincy concerned, only the amount that a donor has given. Accordingly the individual or chaplaincy concerned may not know that you have made a gift or gifts. We will make an exception to this practice in connection with support of e.g. particular individuals (where you might like to receive prayer news direct from them) or major building projects (where there may be a thanksgiving service or event that donors are invited to by the chaplaincy once the project is finished). If you want us to pass on your contact details to the individual or chaplaincy e-mail Maggie at ICS or contact the individual or church directly and let them know that you have sent a gift in to ICS. You will appreciate that as charities we and the chaplaincies try to save costs by not receipting gifts twice!

US taxpayers
You are welcome to use our on line donation system. However if you wish your gift or stock transfer to be tax-deductible you will need to send your gift a US non-profit, and ask that it be used for the work of Intercontinental Church Society, so send your gift to CAF America (minimum gift US$500 and subject to a deduction of 8%, by post or on line at their on-line giving facility). For information and donation forms download our guide US taxpayers and gifts to ICS

Thank you.

Enabling ICS's mission

ICS is first and foremost a mission agency. At the heart of our work is helping people who speak English discover, follow and serve the Christ of the Scriptures. Since 1823 we have been working around the world making the most of opportunities to spread the gospel, helping many, especially those living away from home. We work mainly in continental Europe and North Africa, two of the most spiritually needy regions of the world. ICS receives no direct funding from the Church of England to carry out its work - we are funded entirely by donations from individuals, supporting churches and trusts. We need people, most importantly, to pray for us, our mission partners, their churches and those we and they seek to reach with the message of the Cross. Across England we have a network of prayer groups. For contact details contact communications@ics-uk.org

Your support can enable us to

* plant new churches. ICS typically funds a new congregation (on a reducing basis) for several years so that it can afford a minister. We cover costs such as salary, pension, medical insurance, accommodation, expenses
* Explore possibilities for church-planting and help churches start new congregations or undertake outreach initiatives
* Start up seasonal outreach in new resorts as holiday patterns change and where there are increasing numbers of English-speakers

Click for a list of our current projects and e-mail us for more information on anything specific.

We are also responsible for recruiting Anglican clergy to be ministers of many existing international Anglican churches to help ensure that they have the best people, able to work with the wide range of nationalities and Christian backgrounds that attend, and we also own many church buildings used by these international Anglican churches. We also own and maintain fully the historic English churches in Zermatt and Wengen.

Please support our work by becoming a Friend of ICS and help English-speaking people from all over the world, and English-speakers in countries in which we work, find Christ and follow him.

We encourage Friends to donate annually at least UK £32/€40/CHF60 (or UK £16/€20/CHF30 for concessions: the unwaged, over 65s or a full-time students). However, please be as generous as you can and use tax-efficient giving if possible.

2012 Member's annual donations must be at least £32/€40/CHF60 or £16/€20/CHF30 for concessions. If couples both wish to become members, and receive joint mailing to the same address, then the second applicant need only donate at least half his/her own eligible rate (i.e. £16/€20/CHF30, or £8/€10/CHF15 for concessions) so e.g. a couple where one is full rate and one concessionary must donate at least £40 annually.

Also, please, remember us in your will - see ICS and your will. Your legacy can enable English-language ministry for the benefit of future generations.

Stamps, stamp collections, first day covers and coins - an easy way to engage your church in our mission
You can enable us to spread God's good news by recycling, collecting and donating used postage stamps, stamp collections and coin collections to ICS. Our volunteers then sort them and auction them to collectors: click here for more information, what stamps to collect, and call or e-mail us for a supply of ICS used stamp collecting envelopes - why not order one for every member of your church? All proceeds go towards ICS's work.
