Friends of ICS partner us in our mission and ministry in many ways. If you wish to also consider applying for membership of ICS please e-mail or call us for details of membership. Members are entitled to vote and speak at our AGM, and receive notification of our AGM and other matters for members.

• By post using a UK £ Sterling cheque or international money order payable to Intercontinental Church Society. For our address go to contact us. In the interests of fraud prevention, please do not make cheques etc payable to 'ICS'.

US taxpayers
You are welcome to use our on line donation system. However if you wish to make a tax-deductible gift over $500.00 to ICS, you may do so via CAF America where you will need to specify Intercontinental Church Society as the charity to which you wish CAFAmerica to make a grant. CAFAmerica make a deduction from each donation, as their web site explains. You can either download a form and post your donation to them, or use their on-line giving facility.

At the heart of our work is helping people discover, follow and serve the Christ of the Scriptures, frequently when they are in a foreign land. Since 1823 we have been working around the world making the most of opportunities to spread the Gospel, helping many, especially those living away from home.

To do this we depend practically on the prayers and giving of individuals, supporting churches and trusts. We need people, most importantly, to make known what we do. To pray for us, the chaplains, the churches and those we and they seek to reach with the message of the Cross. Across England we have a network of prayer groups. But we also need funding to expand our work amongst people who speak English. For example we need money to

• Provide chaplains to start new churches. ICS typically funds a new congregation (on a reducing basis) for typically five to seven years. We cover costs such as salary, pension, medical insurance, accommodation, expenses
• Explore possibilities for church-planting
• Recruit chaplains for existing chaplaincies and maintain ongoing support of their ministry
• Start up seasonal ministry in new resorts as holiday patterns change
• Maintain church buildings in Switzerland

 

We send mailings free to anyone willing to pray regularly for us. However we would encourage you to (if possible) make a minimum annual donation of UK £36 (or UK £12 if you are unwaged, over 65 or a full-time student) to help cover the cost of mailings. However, to help us expand our work, please be as generous as you can and use tax-efficient giving if possible. Also, please, remember us in your will - see ICS and your will. Your gifts can enable English-language ministry for the benefit of future generations.
