Wengens
Church of England church opened in January 1928. Since then, tens
of thousands of English-speaking people from all over the world
have worshipped there, as have many local people. Situated in the
beautiful Jungfrau region of Switzerland, many visit the church
to reflect, pray, and worship God. For more information on it's
history, click here.

The
English Church, as it is known locally, was built and
is maintained by the Intercontinental Church Society (ICS).
Thanks largely to the generosity of a trust and the 75th Anniversary
Appeal, we have recently improved the heating, outside walls
and drainage, improve safety, purchase pew Bibles, and redecorated
the interior. ICS depends solely on donations to enable its
ongoing ministry, so these works will be paid for through this
appeal. Neither ICS nor the Church of England receives any direct
financial assistance from governments for the upkeep of buildings.
To help us maintain this building and spread the gospel to those
who visit Wengen, why not become a Friend of ICS and St Bernard’s?
