The project was generously funded at a cost of over one million euros by the Town of Ostend and the Flemish Region. Bishop Robert re-dedicated the building on 21 November, read more about it in his blog here.

A most impressive part of the renovation is the uncovering of the facade of the nineteenth century brickwork that used to be covered in unattractive red paint. The restored brickwork now looks gorgeous.
