Grindelwald

The Summer Season is underway for our chaplaincy in Interlaken and Grindelwald!

We are always grateful to the Swiss church authorities for their ecumenical partnership in allowing us to worship in their buildings.

Grindelwald, at the head of the Schwarze Lütschine river valley, nestles in the shadow of the Eiger mountain and is a great centre for exploring this part of the Bernese Oberland near Interlaken.

ICS Short-term Mission provides chaplains, based in or near Interlaken, during the summer season who conduct services and work in the resort to share the love and Good News of Jesus Christ.

In 2025, our chaplains will be present throughout July and August to serve the local community as well as the many English speakers of different nationalities who come for short or long trips, many returning year after year.

During these weeks, we host a weekly worship service on a Sunday evening at 18:30 in the Catholic Church. Find out more information on our Facebook page.

The Catholic Church can be found 50 metres up the hill (Grossenhausweg) opposite the Tourist Office

The chaplain also leads Sunday morning services at 10:30 in Interlaken.

You would also be very welcome at our church in Wengen where we operate longer seasons both summer and winter.
