Mürren Summer Season 2019 begins 31 May, ends 20 September SOCIAL HOUR: Fridays at 17.00 - come and meet the chaplain for a drink and a chat WORSHIP: Fridays at 18.00 - a short (30-45 minutes) time of informal praise and prayer with a chance to reflect on a passage from the Bible This was a new venture that started in summer 2018, with our Wengen chaplains offering 'Wednesday Worship' at the Swiss Reformed Chapel in Mürren (which used to be the English Church). Having moved to Friday for the winter season, we are pleased to confirm that our chaplains from across the valley will be coming again - and are very grateful to the Swiss Reformed Church authorities in Lauterbrunnen for their generosity and encouragement in welcoming the reintroduction of English-language worship in the village. Drop in any time from 17.00 to receive a warm welcome from the chaplain and a chance for a conversation and a drink. Those who don't wish to join in our short act of worship are able to slip away shortly before 18.00, but we would be delighted to welcome everyone to stay for another half hour or so as we give thanks to our loving God, bring our concerns to him in prayer and here a brief talk based on a Bible passage. Those in Mürren who would like to take part in Sunday worship in English are encouraged to travel across to Wengen to join with the fellowship there. Communion is normally offered at the morning service (10.00). Services in Wengen for the summer season will continue until 22 September. For details on how to contact the chaplain in Wengen, please see the Wengen section of this website.
