Licensing in Basel

Sunday 3 May was a joyous occasion in the life of the Anglican Church in Basel as
The Revd Dr Dorothea Bertschmann was licenced as their Chaplain in the Predigerkirche.

Dorothea is returning to the city of her birth and was joined by a large congregation and her family and friends. Tim Wright presented Dorothea for licensing and welcomed her into the ICS family. Archdeacon Peter Hooper spoke of new beginnings and the faithfulness of God. The choir and music group led the singing and members of the chaplaincy gave gifts symbolising Dorothea’s new ministry. A lovely supper was provided afterwards.
