Creation Care in Ibiza

The Creation Care group organised a Clean-up on the eve of World Clean-up Day (20 September) and in just over an hour, volunteers from the Ibiza and Formentera Chaplaincy and others, removed 86.6 kilos of waste from the area between the Venda de Cas Serres car park and the nearby forest at Santa Gertrudis.

Among the waste collected were the remains of a slum in the middle of the forest: deteriorated wood, debris, and objects that reflected informal occupation and abandonment. The accumulated material included 45.42 kg of non-recyclable waste, 24.48 kg of plastics, 10 kg of metal, 4 kg of wood, and 2.7 kg of glass.

Thank you to all who joined in! On Saturday 4 October, we will meet for a Creationtide walk, everyone is welcome.
