Thank you, Welcome and Goodbye at ICS AGM

Supporters, chaplains, staff and council came together, in-person and online, for the ICS AGM in Coventry on Friday 17 July. We looked back over the past year and thanked our supporters for their continued encouragement, prayers and financial giving.

We said goodbye and thanked long-serving trustees who were standing down and welcomed new trustees who had been elected. There was a change of Chair with Co-chairs, Revd Liz Dumain and Canon Folli Olokose, stepping down after many years of faithful service, and new Chair the Rt Revd James Grier, taking over. We were delighted to award ICS Life Memberships to Mrs Bridget Louvion, Mrs Pamela Clements and The Revd David Marshall.

New Mission Director, Simon Cansdale was warmly welcomed and commissioned as he prepares to step into the role on 1 September. He spoke on 2 Corinthians 5:20 ‘to be Ambassadors for Christ’.

A poignant part of the meeting was saying goodbye and thanking retiring Mission Director Richard Bromley. Richard and Denise were presented with some beautiful gifts from supporters, a cake, and video messages with many thanking them for all the devoted years of vision, encouragement and building up in so many ways. The meeting finished with the ICS prayer and a buffet lunch. Thank you to all who attended, it was lovely to share this with the ICS family!
